Who is the health check package for?
The health check package is designed for adult recreational athletes and physically active people who want to assess their health, physical capabilities and exercise capacity.
The package is suitable both for people who train regularly or are preparing for competitions and for those who are starting to exercise or returning to an active lifestyle after a longer break. The results help you better understand how your body responds to physical activity and plan your training according to your individual capabilities.
What does the health check package include?
- consultation with a sports medicine physician or rehabilitation physician and assessment of your health;
- a panel of blood tests;
- resting ECG;
- lung function test (spirometry);
- cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) with respiratory gas analysis;
- ECG and blood pressure monitoring during exercise;
- assessment of aerobic capacity (VO₂peak/VO₂max);
- determination of ventilatory thresholds and individual heart rate training zones;
- medical evaluation of the results and personalised recommendations for further training.
Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) – what does it show?
Cardiopulmonary exercise testing provides significantly more information than a standard exercise test. It assesses how your heart, lungs and body as a whole respond to physical exertion and helps identify factors that may limit your physical capabilities.
The results provide an objective assessment of your aerobic capacity and individual exercise thresholds. Your individual heart rate training zones are also determined, helping you plan your training in a more informed and goal-oriented way.
The result is a comprehensive overview of your health and physical capabilities, together with personalised recommendations for safe training.
