Operating Department

The Operating Department offers a wide range of surgical services, including general surgery, coloproctology, urology, orthopaedics, and ENT (ear, nose, and throat) procedures. Our centre supports surgical and anaesthesia teams, providing modern facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and a well-organized workflow.

Our goal is for every patient to receive the highest level of medical care, guided by patient-centred values and internationally recognized treatment standards.

The Operating Department at the Merimetsa Medical Campus (Merimetsa Health Centre) has four operating theatres, equipped to meet the needs of general surgical, urological, and orthopaedic procedures.

Day surgery

Day surgery procedures are performed in the Day Surgery Department at the Merimetsa Medical Campus or on the 4th floor of the Operating Department.

Patients suitable for day surgery generally recover quickly after their operations, spending around four hours in the department and being discharged the same evening as outpatients.

Most day surgery patients have varicose veins or similar conditions, but patients with abdominal or inguinal hernias, carpal tunnel syndrome, or other conditions requiring hand surgery are also treated in day surgery.
