Visitor information
The presence of loved ones brings comfort to hospitalised patients and supports their recovery. Relatives and close contacts are welcome to visit patients during designated visiting hours.
- Visiting is not permitted if you have symptoms of a respiratory infection (such as a runny nose, cough, sore throat, or fever).
- Visits are also not allowed if the visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Visiting patients with pets is not permitted, except for service, guide, or therapy dogs, which may be allowed by prior agreement with the department.
Merimetsa Medical Campus

Exceptions:
Visits outside regular visiting hours are allowed by prior agreement with the attending physician.
Important information:
Visits to the Intensive Care Unit are allowed only by prior agreement with the attending physician.
Preferred visiting time for the ICU is in the afternoon.
The duration of the visit is determined by the attending physician.

- We ask visitors to stay in the ward for a maximum of one hour.
- 1–2 visitors per patient are allowed at a time.
- Patients are discharged from the maternity hospital daily from 11am–1pm.
Patients admitted to the hospital may receive parcels.
Please ensure that the patient’s full name, floor number, and ward number are clearly indicated on the parcel—this is the only way to ensure it reaches the correct patient.
We kindly ask that you bring only essential items for your loved ones. The following items are not accepted:
- perishable food
- flowers
Non-alcoholic drinks are allowed (maximum total volume 1 litre).
All items must be properly packed in a minigrip bag (maximum size 30 × 40 cm).
Parcels delivered to the hospital information desk are transported to patients in the department once per day.
