We welcome young people aged up to and including 26 for free, confidential advice and healthcare services. Our centre is staffed by experienced gynaecologists, midwives and other specialists who provide confidential and professional assistance.

Booking an appointment
You can book an appointment by calling the reception on 626 1314, contacting the Women’s Health Clinic on 666 5342 or via the online health portal.
Appointments are free of charge.
If you need to cancel your appointment, you can do so by calling 626 1314, via the online health portal or emailing tyhistamine@keskhaigla.ee. When cancelling by email, please include your personal identification number, full name and the date of your appointment.
About the Youth Counselling Centre
Young people can attend the centre for a wide range of concerns, including sexual health, contraception, sexual well-being, sexual orientation and gender identity, pregnancy, menstruation, relationships and mental health. You do not need to have a specific medical issue to attend. You are welcome to come for advice and guidance. We provide reliable, evidence-based information in a confidential setting.
What do we offer at the Youth Counselling Centre?
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
- Counselling on various sexuality topics. Please note: Sex education lectures are not provided during appointments. Counselling focuses on specific concerns that require individual guidance, for example, issues related to intimate relationships, sexual health, or personal wellbeing.
- Contraception advice.
- Pregnancy testing and advice.
- Renewal of contraceptive prescriptions.
- Advice and initial assessment for young men. At present, it is not possible to carry out genital examinations for young men or perform the related tests. However, young men can provide urine and blood samples and receive initial advice and counselling.
- Support with social concerns, including family difficulties or situations where you feel unsafe .
- Confidential support in cases of sexual violence.

Repeated prescription for contraception
If you have previously attended our clinic, you will be able to get a repeat prescription for contraception without booking an appointment.
Repeat prescriptions are issued Monday to Friday between 2pm to 3pm, either in person on a first-come, first-served basis or by telephone during the same hours. A repeat prescription can only be issued by telephone if you have a recorded blood pressure reading within the last 6 months.
If you have not previously received a contraceptive prescription from our clinic, you will need to book an appointment with a gynaecologist or midwife.
At the Youth Counselling Centre, you can be tested for various sexually transmitted diseases/viruses/bacteria.
WHAT CAN BE TESTED?
You may be tested for:
- Chlamydia
- HIV
- Gonorrhoea
- Syphilis
- Mycoplasmas (not included in routine STD testing)
- Hepatitis B and C
- Herpes
- Bacterial vaginosis
- Fungal infections
- Cervical smear test (from age 25)
Where clinically indicated, testing may also include:
- Ureaplasma
- HPV
Pregnancy-related tests:
- Ultrasound scan
- Venous blood test
RECEIVING YOUR RESULTS
How will you receive your results?
If your text result is negative (meaning no infection was detected), you will not be contacted.
If your test result is positive (meaning infection was identified), we will contact you by phone or email.

BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
To book an appointment, please call 626 1314 or register in person at the polyclinic reception.
Our social worker, Marita Ilmoja, can assist with:
• advising pregnant women on relevant legislation and their rights
• issuing necessary documentation
• providing information about procedures after childbirth (applying for grants and benefits, applications, etc.)
• supporting the maternity team in resolving social or administrative matters during hospital admission

Our team
Everyone who works at the Youth Counselling Centre is bound by strict confidentiality.
Anything discussed during your visit is treated in confidence. Without your permission, we will not share information about your concerns, test results or appointments with your parents, GP or anyone else.
Our team includes both men and women. Depending on your needs, you may book an appointment with a midwife, gynaecologist, sexual health counsellor or social worker.
