Exercise for pregnant women

Exercise options for pregnant women in the Family Centre

Pregnancy and childbirth require physical endurance. Our exercise sessions will help build strength and prepare the body for childbirth. They also provide a great opportunity to stay active alongside other women who are at a similar stage of life.

About training

Exercising is suitable at any stage of pregnancy, both in the first and in the third trimester. Women who have already given birth and wish to safely and gradually return to exercise are also welcome.

Lesson structure

The lesson lasts 60 minutes.

  • Classes begin with a gentle warm-up at a comfortable, pregnancy-friendly pace.
  • The main part of the session focuses on exercises that help relieve and prevent common pregnancy discomforts and prepare the body for childbirth.
  • The lesson ends with calm stretching to release tension in the body, with a focus on breathing exercises and relaxation.

Instructor

The class is led by the bright and cheerful midwife Eliis Sarapuu, who always offers midwifery advice during the sessions and helps create a supportive atmosphere.

Eliis is particularly passionate about supporting expectant mothers who are managing diabetes during pregnancy.
