Multiple Sclerosis

The department focuses on modern diagnostic methods and active treatment for various neurological diseases, from initial suspicion and diagnosis through to rehabilitation at different stages of the disease.

During a hospital stay, individual goals for life at home are agreed upon in collaboration with the patient and various specialists (neurologist, nurse, physiotherapist, psychologist, social worker). Patients and their families are also provided with guidance and support to help them manage the condition as independently as possible at home.

  • diagnosis and treatment of various neurological diseases
  • expert assessment of MS by a neurologist specialising in the disease
  • treatment of MS relapses with corticosteroids, delivered either on an inpatient or outpatient basis
  • modulatory therapy for MS disease
  • clarification of the diagnosis (both MS and other neurological diseases), where necessary, in collaboration with specialists from various other disciplines, including a geneticist
  • development of a treatment plan and ongoing monitoring

In addition to doctors, the department team includes physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers and nurse specialists.
