If a victim of sexual violence turns to you as a specialist, or if you suspect sexual violence, it is important to follow the appropriate steps to ensure the person receives the necessary support.

In the case of a minor

  • In cases of confirmed or suspected sexual violence against a child, the police or the local authority child protection services must always be informed.
  • Specialised police units are responsible for investigating sexual offences.
