Prenatal hospitalisation

When you arrive at the hospital, please bring:

• pregnancy card
• indoor shoes
• comfortable clothing
• toiletries

Hospitalisation is available 24 hours a day.

A referral is required for both planned and emergency admission.

Planned induction of labour in a family room:

If your induction of labour is planned on a doctor’s recommendation, you have the option to stay in hospital with one support person during the process. We offer paid family rooms, where your support person can stay with you throughout the induction.

Staying in a family room helps create a calmer and more supportive environment for both you and your support person.

The family rooms are located on the 5th floor of the Women’s Health Clinic (rooms 16, 17 and 18). The service also includes meals for your support person.

‍What happens during induction?

Patients scheduled for a planned induction of labour will first arrive at the antenatal ward on the 3rd floor, where initial assessments and examinations are carried out, including:

• ultrasound scanning
• CTG (monitoring of the baby’s heart rate)
• vaginal examination
• selection of the induction method by a doctor

Sünnieelsesse osakonda tuleb patsient esialgu üksinda, ilma pereliikmeta.

Kui sünnituse esilekutsumine on alustatud ning vaba perepalat on olemas, suunatakse patsient hooldaja saatel perepalatisse.

Pärast induktsiooni alustamist saab pereliige liituda patsiendiga V korrusel perepalatis, tulles vastuvõtu osakonna kaudu.

Perepalatis jälgivad teie ja beebi seisundit ämmaemand ja naistearst. Kui sünnitus on käivitunud, suunatakse teid koos pereliikmega sünnitustuppa.

Oluline teada: perepalati kasutamise võimalus selgub haiglasse saabumisel ning palatit ei ole võimalik ette broneerida.
