Baby exercise classes

Information about exercise classes for babies and toddlers

Exercise classes are open to both mothers and fathers from the baby’s first month of life up to the age of two. During the sessions, we practise simple exercises together, share useful tips and discuss when and how to guide the baby’s movements, when to wait and when support may be helpful. We will also talk about why it is important for babies to spend enough time on their tummy and to use both sides of the body equally during development.

Lesson content and objectives

  • Baby exercises help strengthen the bond between parent and child through touch and interaction.
  • We learn techniques to help relieve babies’ gas discomfort, calm a crying baby and support healthy development.
  • Studies have shown that early massage and exercises can have a positive effect on a child’s development.
  • Babies who regularly attend gymnastics sessions often become more responsive, enjoy interaction, and are calmer and more cheerful.
  • Active participation in the exercises can also help mothers strengthen areas of the body affected by pregnancy and improve posture.
