Come for a baby massage session to learn how to handle and care for your baby more confidently and to support your baby if any difficulties arise. Massage and gentle exercises help support age-appropriate development. The benefits of massage
Massage may help when:
- the baby cries a lot and is restless
- the baby has gas pains or digestive discomfort
- the baby is tense and has difficulty falling asleep
- the baby’s development appears slower
- the baby’s muscles are tense or muscle tone is low
- there is a difference in muscle strength on the left and right sides of the body
Gentle baby massage based on soft stroking movements stimulates blood circulation and digestion, supports the lymphatic and immune systems, improves muscle coordination, stimulates the central nervous system and benefits skin health. Massage helps relax the muscles and allows freer movement.
Regular massage and simple exercises support a baby’s development at each stage. Parents can learn massage techniques during the session so they can confidently continue them at home. The therapist will also recommend exercises that may be beneficial for your baby.
